The fees cover administration, instructors, and rental of classroom if needed. The specific fees are as follows: · Cost of the on-line course is $75 and must be paid at the time of your on-line registration. · There is an additional $25 classroom fee payable to the Mentor Soccer Club at the beginning of the in-person Lakeland class on 2/17/18. · Becoming a Grade 8 referee. Grade 8 referees can officiate Rec, Travel, Premier, State League, and youth tournaments. To be certified as a grade 8 (novice) referee, you must take an on-line class, which includes quizzes and a test. The student must pass the on-line quizzes and tests. Following completion of the on-line portion, the student must complete an in-person class to become a Certified Referee. Recertification consists of an on-line class and exam, and an in-person class. There is a fee for the annual recertification that is typically less cost than the novice certification.
